About Me

Liz has been working in the editorial field since 1998, when she got her start in the research department at Rodale, Inc. From her first book chapter, she knew she’d found her calling. With many years of fact checking, research, writing and editing under her belt, today, she specializes in writing about health and wellness.

As Liz writes about topics ranging from headaches to intermittent fasting to work/life balance, she learns along with her readers. She’s interviewed thousands of fascinating people, from doctors to fitness experts to individuals who have turned their lives around.

With her book project, “Secrets of the World’s Healthiest People,” which she wrote with her husband, physician Steve Bowers, DO, Liz interviewed dozens of healthy role models from which we can all learn a thing or two.

She also regularly contributes to Mindful (Sodexo), Better by Dr. Jennifer Ashton and Curves International and has written for Runner’s World, Prevention, Women’s Health, Women’s Day, Yoga Journal, WebMD, and numerous other publications and web sites.

Liz lives in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, with her husband, Steve, and her three children, Marin, Lila, and Drew. Together, she and her family enjoy attending the kids' sporting events, swimming in the ocean, and other outdoor activities. She also enjoys running, Barre. reading, going to concerts, and spending time with family and friends.
